The invention discloses an improved method for testing adhesion of asphalt and coarse aggregates. The improved method is characterized by specifically comprising the following steps: polishing coarse aggregates into balls with the diameter of 19+/-0.5 mm, and drilling a1.0-1.2 mm round hole in the diameter direction; washing the coarse aggregates with water, penetrating through the round hole with a thin steel wire, suspending and placing in water for soaking for 24 hours, and wiping water on the surfaces of the coarse aggregates with a towel till shiny water stain is invisible; immersing the wetted coarse aggregates in hot asphalt at 145-165 DEG C, so that the outer parts of the coarse aggregates are completely wrapped by an asphalt membrane; lifting the coarse aggregates away from the holt asphalt, suspending and cooling for 10-20 min; immersing the coarse aggregates in a beaker containing boiling water, keeping the water in a boiling state, recording time T from immersing the coarse aggregates in the boiling water to completely stripping the asphalt membrane from the surfaces of the coarse aggregates, that is, taking the time when asphalt is stripped from the surfaces of the aggregates and is floated on the water as the deadline. The improved method provided by the invention is strong in operability, easy to understand, and true and reliable in data, has obvious ability to distinguish different varieties of asphalt and aggregates with different lithologies, and is a simple, feasible and intuitive test method.
