The purification method comprises the following steps: mixing crude indapamide, an organic solvent, water, and an absorbent, maintaining a temperature of 50 to 70 DEG C for 20 to 40 minutes, filtering when the solution is still hot so as to remove the absorbent, making the mother liquid stay at a constant temperature of -1 to 2 DEG C to carry out crystallization for 1 to 6 hours, filtering, and drying to obtain refined indapamide. By adopting the provided method, after once refinement, the purity of indapamide can reach more than 99.90%; the content of total impurities is not more than 0.1%, and the yield is more than 90%. The output of each batch can reach hundreds of kilograms, and the industrial production is realized.
