The method comprises the following steps: firstly measuring the content of 40 types of substances in the flue-cured tobacco leaves according to the industrial standards and literature methods of tobaccos, then respectively substituting the contents of 40 types of substances obtained by detection into three classification functions to calculate values of Y faint fragrance, Y concentrated fragrance and Y intermediate fragrance, and then comparing the three values; and when the value of Y concentrated fragrance is maximum, judging that the detected type of the fragrance of the flue-cured tobacco leaves is the concentrated fragrance. By virtue of the method disclosed by the invention, the correction rate of judgment for the type of the concentrated fragrance of the flue-cured tobacco leaves is more than 93%, and thus a beneficial technical support is provided for maintaining the stability of the sense quality of cigarettes.
