The invention discloses an environment-friendly high-strength lead-free brazing filler metal and a preparation process thereof. The brazing filler metal comprises magnesium, calcium, silicon, fluorine, gold, copper, ytterbium, indium, praseodymium, europium, bismuth, zinc, carbon, scandium, rhodium, nickel, and the balance tin. The tensile strength of a welding joint of the prepared brazing filler metal is 732.5-812.5 MPa; and the shearing strength of a base material after brazing is 274.8-316.7 MPa. In addition, the interface bonding compactness of the welded joint through metallographic observation is good. Therefore, the prepared brazing filler metal is good in welding effect, excellent in mechanical property after welding, good in stability, free of lead in component and good in environment friendliness and application prospect.
