The invention relates to the field of catalyst regeneration and particularly provides a regeneration method for a denitration catalyst. The method comprises the steps that firstly, a denitration catalyst to be regenerated is subjected to dust blowing and cleaning; secondly, the cleaned denitration catalyst to be regenerated is dried into a dry substance with the moisture content being 8-13 wt%; thirdly, the dry substance is frozen to make moisture in the dry substance frozen and hardened, and a frozen substance is obtained; fourthly, the frozen substance makes contact with impregnation liquor containing a denitration active component source for impregnation, and impregnant is obtained, wherein the temperature of the impregnation liquor ranges from minus 10 DEG C to 10 DEG C; fifthly, the impregnant is selectively dried and then roasted. According to the method, the technological process is simple, and the obtained regenerated denitration catalyst is high in catalytic activity and low in oxidation rate. Besides, by means of the method, the number of ingredients in an active impregnation liquor formula can be effectively reduced, only the main active component source needs to be added, other cosolvents and additives are not needed, the formula is simple, and cost is low.
