The invention relates to a laboratory recurrence-type digital electric energy metering equipment remote calibration system and method. The system comprises a laboratory host computer, a standard digital electric energy meter, a digital arbitrary waveform generator, an electric energy metering assembly, a digital oscilloscope, a merging unit and a clock synchronization device. The laboratory host computer, the standard digital electric energy meter and the digital arbitrary waveform generator are arranged in a calibration laboratory. The laboratory host computer, the standard digital electric energy meter, the digital arbitrary waveform generator, the electric energy metering assembly, the digital oscilloscope, the merging unit and tested digital electric energy metering equipment are connected in order. The clock synchronization device is connected with the digital oscilloscope, the merging unit and the tested digital electric energy metering equipment. The electric energy metering assembly is connected with the tested digital electric energy metering equipment and the laboratory host computer. Compared to the prior art, the invention achieves reliable remote calibration of electric energy metering errors, and improves the reliability of a digital metering system.
