The invention relates to an index plate system for sugar lump packaging. The index plate system is arranged on a sugar lump packaging machine. A clamping plate which is used for clamping sugar lumps from the index plate system along the vertical direction is arranged above the index plate system. The index plate system is characterized by comprising an index plate seat, a transmission shaft, an index plate, a sugar beating rod and a sugar supporting plate. The index plate system solves the problems that in a general index plate system, when the sugar lumps are thrown into the index plate, the sugar lumps cling to the sugar beating rod and are brought out from a sugar groove, and when the sugar lumps are thrown into the index plate, the sugar lamps tip due to instability of the sugar lumps. The index plate system also solves the problem that as the sugar groove in the index plate do not penetrate the index plate in a thickness direction, when the sugar lumps come out from the sugar groove, a clamping jaw is used for clamping the sugar lumps out from the sugar groove for carrying out mechanical packaging, certain sugar lumps fail to be clamped and the clamped sugar lamps drop out from the clamping paw, thereby causing the production interruption of sugar lump packaging.
