The automatic gas release device of the load switch comprises a PLC module, a power module, a control switch, an oil drain valve and a gas release valve. The power module is connected with the power end of the PLC module; the control switch is communicated with the PLC module; the PLC module controls the oil drain valve and the gas release valve; the oil drain valve is arranged at the oil drain end of a gas collection box of the load switch; and the gas release valve is arranged at the gas release end of the gas collection box. The power module is a wind-controlled power box; the control switch is a reset type button switch; and the signal connecting terminal of the button switch is connected with a PLC signal input end. The oil drain valve is an electromagnetic valve; the gas release valve is an electronic type automatic gas release valve; and the signal output end of the PLC module is connected with the control ends of both the oil drain valve and the gas release valve. As the PLC module is adopted as a control unit and the reset type button switch is adopted as a signal generation device, the PLC module after receiving a signal opens the oil drain valve and the gas release valve to realize automatic gas release.
