The invention relates to an o offshore wind farm direct current power transmission system direct current short circuit fault ride-through method and a system thereof. When a short circuit fault of a direct current bus occurs, a current difference between the two ends of the direct current bus is detected, and is compared with a set current value. When the current difference between the two ends of the direct current bus is smaller than the set current value, direct voltage set values of two converter stations are adjusted according to the current difference between the two ends of the direct current bus. When the current difference between the two ends of the direct current bus is greater than or equal to the set current value, the direct voltage set values of the two converter stations are zero. The direct voltages of the two converter stations are correspondingly controlled according to different fault degrees, and therefore the fault ride-through method is suitable for occasions where an offshore wind farm is connected a power grid by flexible direct current.
