The invention relates to a remote monitoring management system and a remote monitoring management method for an intelligent POS terminal. The system comprises the intelligent POS terminal and a terminal monitoring management device arranged in a background server for monitoring and managing the intelligent POS terminal; the intelligent POS terminal comprises a real-time communication module for realizing instant communication between the intelligent POS terminal and the terminal monitoring management device, an instruction analysis module for analyzing the instruction from the terminal monitoring management device and a task processing module for executing the a task analyzed by the instruction analysis module and returning the execution result to the real-time communication module. Thus, related information of the remote intelligent POS terminal can be acquired in real time, and monitoring and various emergency handling are facilitated.
