The invention relates to a method for detecting electric energy measuring meter missort and particularly relates to a method and a device for detecting electric energy measuring meter missort, and solves the problem that the existing method for detecting electric energy measuring meter missort cannot ensure 100% detection accuracy. The method is achieved by the following steps of 1) intermittently and periodically applying a wattless load to the home of a user; 2) monitoring the power value or phase periodical change condition of reactive power at the side of an electric energy measuring meter corresponding to the user; and 3) determining the corresponding relation between the electric energy measuring meter and the user as correct if the periodical change condition of the wattless load applied in the step 1) is identical to the power value or phase of reactive power monitored in the step 2), otherwise determining as incorrect, namely, missort. The device comprises a control circuit and a controlled circuit. The control circuit includes a 555 timer, a relay connected at the output end of the 555 timer or a silicon controlled rectifier, wherein the control pole of the silicon controlled rectifier is controlled by the output end of the 555 timer. The controlled circuit is formed by serially connecting the normally open contact of the relay or the silicon controlled rectifier with a wattless load. 100% correct determination can be achieved.
