The invention relates to a confirmation method of a medium voltage distribution network neutral point grounding mode. The method comprises the following steps of determining a main index and a reference index influencing a neutral point grounding mode, and constructing a weight coefficient system and a check index reference system determined by the neutral point grounding mode; using the weight coefficient system to calculate a small resistance, an arc extinguishing coil and a ungrounded result value, and taking the grounding mode corresponding to a result of the large value as a primary neutral point grounding mode; and through checking a calculating result through a mode that the check index reference system corresponds the check rule item by item, finally determining the reasonable neutral point grounding mode. The design is reasonable and various influence factors are fully considered. Rationality of the medium voltage distribution network neutral point grounding mode can be simply and rapidly checked and calculated and uniqueness of a quantification calculating result can be guaranteed. And randomness of personal experience selection is avoided.
