The invention provides a Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod barrier layer preparation method, comprising the steps of: first, uniformly mixing a binder, a surfactant, a dispersant and a solvent to obtain a glue solution, adding nanometer titanium dioxide into the glue solution, and obtaining a titanium dioxide suspending liquid after ultrasonic agitation; second, cleaning a Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod, winding the Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod on a pay-off machine, under the tractive effort of a coil winder, passing the winded Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod through a reservoir storing the titanium dioxide suspending liquid obtained in step one, drying the Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod and winding the Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod on the coil winder to obtain a Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod having the surface coated with a titanium dioxide coating; and third, performing heating treatment, and obtaining a barrier layer on the surface of the Bi-2212 superconductive wire rod. The barrier layer prepared in the invention has excellent insulation overpressure resistant performance, and meanwhile plays a role in avoiding wire rod heat treatment adhesion and performing electrical isolation.
