The invention discloses a variable volume compressor and an air-conditioning system. The variable volume compressor comprises a housing assembly, a motor assembly and a pump assembly, wherein a stator cavity is formed among a stator of the motor assembly, the housing assembly and the pump assembly, and communicates with a sliding-vane cavity of the pump assembly through a channel, so as to allow high-pressure oil gas in the stator cavity to be able to be introduced into the sliding-vane cavity through the channel. The stator cavity acts as a high-pressure access point of the sliding-vane cavity, and an appropriate amount of high-pressure oil gas hybrid is introduced into the sliding-vane cavity, so that leakage can be reduced, the refrigerating capacity can be improved, and power loss can be reduced. Particularly when the variable volume compressor operates under high differential pressure and low frequency condition, the performances of the variable volume compressor are improved more obviously.
