The invention relates to a switch device and a protector for an explosion-proof film of the switch device. The switch device comprises a housing, an air hole in the housing, and the explosion-proof film on the air hole of the housing. The protector comprises an installing plate arranged outside the air hole of the housing of the switch device, and an installing hole corresponding to the air hole is arranged in the installing plate. The protector further comprises an end cap for plugging the installing hole to prevent external dust from falling onto the explosion-proof film, and the end cap is connected with the outer peripheral surface of the hole wall of the installing hole. The outer peripheral surface and the hole wall of the installing hole are connected through a weakening structure, so that the end cap can be blown up by air in the housing after the explosion-proof film ruptures. The housing of the switch device is thus protected.
