The invention relates to the technical field of lithium-ion batteries, in particular to a preparation method of a negative electrode material zinc ferrite. The preparation method of the negative electrode material zinc ferrite comprises the following steps of: adding a certain amount of iron source, zinc source and polyethylene glycol to deionized water, carrying out ultrasound, transferring a reaction liquid to a magnetic heating stirrer for stirring and heating; adding a weak alkali or strong alkali and weak acid salt to the reaction liquid and adjusting the pH of the solution; after reaction is ended, transferring the reaction liquid to an oven for drying and carrying out primary calcination and grinding; and putting the ground solid into a certain concentration of strong alkali solution, carrying out stirring, filtering and washing and carrying out calcination on the obtained solid product again to obtain the negative electrode material zinc ferrite for the lithium-ion battery. The nanostructure zinc ferrite prepared by the method has a stable lithium-intercalated potential platform (about 0.9v); the lithium precipitation phenomenon is not generated; the safety of the battery is greatly improved; and meanwhile, the material has the advantages of being nontoxic, pollution-free, high in safety performance, wide in raw material source and the like.
