The invention discloses a forming technology of a double-metal plunger pump rotor, and belongs to the technical field of processing and forming of plunger pump rotors. The forming technology comprises the sequential steps of a, carrying out three-dimensional design on a plunger pump structure and a plunger pump rotor pouring system through adopting three-dimensional design software; b, forming a plunger pump rotor through pouring; c, removing burrs and sand on the surfaces of workpieces, and polishing cylindrical surfaces of through holes of a steel matrix rotor; d, preparing a turbid liquid; e, coating the cylindrical surfaces of the through holes with the turbid liquid, and drying the steel matrix rotor; f, after drying the steel matrix rotor, filling the through holes in the steel matrix rotor with sodium tetraborate decahydrate powder; and g, putting the steel matrix rotor in a high temperature furnace to be fully preheated, pouring smelted cast copper alloy into the through holes of the fully preheated steel matrix rotor, and after air cooling, carrying out machining forming to obtain the steel-copper double-metal plunger pump rotor. According to the forming technology, the mechanical property of the plunger pump rotor is improved, the production operation technology is improved, the production cost is reduced, and the forming technology provides technical support for production of rotors with high abrasion resistance and high strength.
