The invention provides a method and a system for inhibiting saturated zone artifacts. After exposure, detecting the gate-source voltage Vgs of a thin film transistor of a flat panel detector, when detecting that the gate-source voltage Vgs of the flat panel detector is smaller than a preset threshold voltage VT of the thin film transistor, not changing the scanning direction, and entering the read-out stage according to the default scanning direction; and when detecting that the gate-source voltage Vgs of the thin film transistor is greater than or equal to the threshold voltage VT of the thin film transistor, automatically switching the scanning direction, wherein the switched scanning direction is from the supersaturated area to an unsaturated area, and entering the read-out stage. With the adoption of the method and the system, the problem that in the prior art, the saturated zone artifacts appear in the clinical image shooting is solved.
