The invention relates to the technical field of diamond manufacturing, in particular to a manufacturing method for polycrystalline diamond compacts applicable to wire cutting. The method includes the following steps that metal powder is added to diamond micro-powder with the particle size being 3-20 microns, specifically, the weight of the metal powder is 3-10% that of the diamond micro-powder, and the fineness of the metal powder is 3-20 microns; and the metal powder and the diamond micro-powder are mixed evenly, loaded into a metal cup and subjected to synthesis with the high temperature of 1500-1650 DEG C and high pressure of 6.0-7.2 GPa on the vacuum condition, so that the polycrystalline diamond compacts are obtained. Preferably, the metal powder used in the method is cobalt powder, and the weight of the metal powder used in the method is 6% that of the diamond micro-powder. The polycrystalline diamond compacts produced through the method can be applied to wire cutting and have the advantage of meeting certain production requirements; and since the metal powder used in the method is cobalt powder, the method further has the advantages that the conductive property is better and the strength of the polycrystalline diamond compacts is not affected.
