The invention discloses a method of preparing an anti-microbial finishing agent for a wool fabric. The method comprises the steps of preparing a wall material compound solution, preparing a core material compound solution, preparing frankincense essential oil microcapsules, preparing the anti-microbial finishing agent and the like. In the method of preparing the anti-microbial finishing agent for the wool fabric, a chitosan and a polylysine are combined as a wall material, while a frankincense essential oil and sodium caseinate are combined as a core material. Since the sodium caseinate in the core material is capable of joining in a complex coacervation reaction with the wall material, the frankincense essential oil microcapsules formed herein are more stable in structure than microcapsules with a single essential oil as the core material; when the microcapsules are applied to a wool fabric after-finishing agent, long anti-microbial persistence can be achieved.
