The invention relates to a cable core temperature inversion formula examination method and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises the following steps of step (1), filling dry soil into a rectangle wooden box and laying a cable in the soil in the wooden box; step (2), using a thermocouple temperature measurement module to measure a temperature of the cable and measuring a cable core temperature and a cable surface temperature of the cable respectively; step (3), connecting the cable to a rated current I, and measuring temperature data of the cable core temperature T1 and the cable surface temperature T2 of the cable; step (4), through a computer, fitting I, T1 and T2 recording values through a thermal path parameter fitting procedure and obtaining an optimal fitting thermal parameter; step (5), calculating a cable core temperature T1' when the cable is in a zero original state under a current simulation laying environment and comparing an inversion calculating value T1' and the measured value T1. The method and the apparatus have advantages that temperature changes when the cable actually operates can be simulated and rationality of a cable core inversion method can be accurately and effectively verified.
