The invention relates to an unlocking start control method for a flexible direct current transmission converter. The control method comprises the steps of converting three-phase voltage, three-phase bus current and current limiting reactors output by the flexible direct current transmission converter via abc/dq coordinates; switching a PID (Proportion Integration Differentiation) parameter group using a current feed-forward decoupling inner ring, and controlling the unlocking start of a flexible direct current transmission system using the PID parameter group; and controlling the direct current voltage using a voltage constant slope control outer ring. By adopting the technical solution, the grid-connected start impact current of the converter is reduced, and the grid-connected start debugging workload is reduced.
