The invention provides high-performance foamed plastic and a preparation method thereof. The high-performance foamed plastic is prepared from methacrylic acid, acrylonitrile, azobisisoheptonitrile serving as an initiator and a composite foaming agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps of (a) selectively matching raw materials; (b) preparing a foamable copolymer resin board; (c) performing foaming forming and heat treatment. The invention discloses the high-performance foamed plastic and the preparation method thereof. The foamed plastic is simple in preparation process and high in preparation efficiency; compared with ordinary foamed plastic, the high-performance foamed plastic has higher mechanical properties and heat performance.
