The invention relates to a live insulated clothing detection device, which comprises a voltage regulator, a step-up transformer, a clothing hanger and a detector, wherein the voltage regulator and the step-up transformer form a power supply, the clothing hanger is the positive electrode, the detector is the negative electrode, the outer surface of a stainless steel skeleton is coated with a conductive cloth to form the clothing hanger, the clothing hanger is sequentially electrically connected with the step-up transformer and the voltage regulator, and the detector is grounded and is corresponding to the clothing hanger. Detection on the insulated clothing in a no leak point and in all directions is realized. The device is high in accuracy, 100% detection can be carried out on reduced insulation and through breakage of the insulated clothing can be realized, the model has a humane design, detection on the oxter, the neck or sleeves can be passed for one time, no dead angle exists, the detection speed is quick, the operation time is saved, and safety accidents caused due to electric leakage of the insulated clothing of a live operator can be avoided.
