本发明提供显示输入装置、图像形成装置及显示输入装置的控制方法。显示输入装置包括输入部、显示面板、存储部以及控制部。存储部存储表示当前的设定值的当前值数据、默认值数据、以及包含表示登记时从默认值变更了的设定值的数据的设定保存数据。控制部从设定保存数据中抽出作为登记时未从默认值变更的设定值的、与当前的默认值不同的设定值，将抽出值登记时的值和当前的默认值中的被使用者选择了的值写入当前值数据。

The display input device includes an input unit, a display panel, a storage unit, and a control unit. The control unit is used for extracting a value as the changed preset value of the default value that is different from the current default value, and adopting the extracted value as the current value data of the preset value.
