The invention discloses an optical fiber laying method for laying a continuous long optical fiber to an optical fiber receiving tube of a multi-segment photoelectric hybrid cable. The method comprises the steps of laying a continuous optical fiber into an optical fiber receiving tube of one segment of a photoelectric hybrid cable by using an air blowing device; and laying the rest of the optical fiber that has ready passed through the previous segment photoelectric hybrid cable into the optical fiber receiving tube of the next segment of the photoelectric hybrid cable by using the air blowing device. After the front end of the optical fiber is exposed from the exit of the optical fiber receiving tube of one segment of the photoelectric hybrid cable, the front end of the optical fiber is fixed into an intermediate turntable, and after the optical fiber is laid in the optical fiber receiving tube of the previous segment of the photoelectric hybrid cable, the front end of the optical fiber is released from the previous intermediate turntable, so that the rest of the optical fiber can be laid into the optical fiber receiving tube of the next photoelectric hybrid cable. Since the front end of the optical fiber is fixed in the intermediate turntable in the laying process, the optical fiber will not be messed or intertwined.
