The invention discloses a slide type material collecting mechanism for a road-header. The slide type material collecting mechanism comprises a body frame and a shovel plate. The slide type material collecting mechanism is characterized by further comprising a slide hinge seat and a hydraulic oil cylinder. The slide hinge seat comprises hinge seat bodies respectively arranged on the left and right sides of the body frame and a slide frame capable of sliding in the cavity of the body frame, and the front ends of the hinge seat bodies are connected with the shovel plate through a first connecting pin. The hydraulic oil cylinder comprises a piston rod and a cylinder barrel. The piston rod is fixedly connected with the rear ends of the hinge seat bodies through a second connecting pin. The rear end of the cylinder barrel is fixed in the cavity of the body frame through an oil cylinder hinge seat. The telescoping of the hydraulic oil cylinder drives the slide hinge seat to slide forwards and backwards in the body frame so as to allow the shovel plate to move forwards and backwards, and accordingly the material collecting range of the shovel plate is increased, and construction efficiency is prevented from being affected by material accumulation.
