Construction of a rolling bearing with seal ring can be achieved in which, while securing the required seal performance, the rotation support portion can be made more compact by shortening the dimension in the axial direction of the installation space for an inner ring 3a, and torque can be lowered. A sliding contact edge 23 of a seal lip 12a that is provided around the inner-circumferential edge portion of a seal ring 5a on one end side in the axial direction comes in sliding contact with one end surface 24 of the inner ring 3a. The tip-end edge of a protruding portion 20 closely faces the surface of the inner ring 3a, forming a labyrinth seal 19 in this portion. With this construction, a stopper ring 17 for regulating the position in the axial direction of the inner ring 3a with respect to a shaft 15 is located so as not to protrude from the end surface in the axial direction of the rolling bearing 1a with seal ring. The problem can be solved because the diameter of the sliding contact portion is kept small.
