The invention provides an overhead power transmission line reinforced concrete foundation crack detection device and method. The device comprises a detection passage and an industrial endoscope which can be placed in the detection passage, the detection passage is a transparent pipe with a semicircular section, the bottom end of the detection passage is of a closed structure while the top end of the same is of an openable and closeable structure, and the industrial endoscope is connected with a handheld terminal through an axial cable. The overhead power transmission line reinforced concrete foundation crack detection device and method has the advantages of simple technology, low cost and supportiveness of directly observing whether the surface of an overhead power transmission line reinforced concrete foundation is cracked or not and detecting width of the surface to avoid power transmission failures caused by accidental damage to the reinforced concrete foundation.
