The invention provides a control method for a fabric spreading production line. The control method comprises the following steps: judging whether a window through signal from a cutting bed is available or not; if so, monitoring whether a fabric covering signal which is detected by each sensor is available on a conveying fabric spreading table corresponding to each sensor, so as to confirm that which one of N sections of the conveying fabric spreading table is started or stopped; if the fabric covering signal is received, calculating the conveying speed of a conveyer belt according to an analog quantity signal from the cutting bed, so as to enable a motor corresponding to the conveying fabric spreading table to drive the conveyer belt; if not, controlling fabric spreading table electric equipment in a preset control mode. By the adoption of the control method and the system for the fabric spreading production line, a fabric on the conveyer belt can be fed into a cutting area of the cutting bed in a flat manner, the purpose that the conveyer belt moves synchronously with a horsehair bed of the cutting bed at a same speed when the cutting bed moves through a window is realized, operation is simplified due to synchronized driving, and the trouble that the fabric feeding speed is controlled through manual operation is avoided.
