The invention provides a noble metal loaded graphene microsphere catalyst. The noble metal loaded graphene microsphere catalyst is prepared by the following method: dispersing graphite oxide in deionized water, adding vitamin C, standing for 8-10h, and adding noble metal stock solution and stirring for 1-2h to obtain mixed solution, placing the mixed solution into a spray dryer, and collecting spray-dried solid powder to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst can be applied to tail gas purification of hydrocarbon-based compounds, carbon monoxide or nitric oxide; the vitamin C is used to reduce graphite oxide and noble metal, the process is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, has low cost and requires no surface activity and templates, and the generated noble metal after reduction can be uniformly distributed on a graphene carrier, so that the activity of the catalyst is improved; and besides, the evenly-dispersed noble metal particles can interact with the graphene carrier such that the whole stability is improved; and the preparation method of the catalyst is simple, can be operated easily and is suitable for large-scale production.
