The invention relates to a composite inoculant and an application thereof in the alcoholization of tobacco leaf. The composite inoculant is prepared by individually culturing bacillus subtilis, bacillus licheniformis, and bacillus amyloliquefaciens and then mixing them according to a certain ratio; wherein the bacillus subtilis and bacillus licheniformis are derived from the distiller's yeast of Maotai. The function development of fragrance generating microbes of Maotai and the quality improvement of tobacco are combined together; for the first time, the products of microbial fermentation of distiller's yeast of Maotai are applied to tobacco fermentation; through the activity of the fragrance generating microbes or addition of the metabolism products of the microbes, the species of beneficial microbes in tobacco fermentation are increased, the kinds of fragrance generating substances are increased, the tobacco will has a Maotai liked fragrance, and the quality of tobacco alcoholization is improved therefore.
