提供一种车辆控制装置，能够抑制横向摇摆运动判断的延迟。车辆控制装置具备：车辆举动检测传感器，其检测作用于车辆的举动；车辆举动基准值计算部，其基于与车辆举动检测传感器不同的传感器的输出值来计算车辆举动的基准值；以及，横向摇摆检测部，其对传感器的输出值和基准值进行比较，基于输出值相对于基准值的振幅的大小来检测本车辆所牵引的拖车的横向摇摆运动。

Provided is a vehicle control apparatus with which delay in determination of rolling motion can be minimized. This vehicle control apparatus is provided with: a vehicle behavior detection sensor which detects behavior acting on a vehicle; a vehicle behavior reference value calculation unit which calculates a reference value of vehicle behavior on the basis of the output value of a sensor different from the vehicle behavior detection sensor; and a rolling motion detection unit which compares the reference value and the output value of the sensor, and on the basis of the magnitude of the amplitude of the output value with respect to the reference value, detects that a trailer being towed by the vehicle is experiencing rolling motion.
