The invention belongs to the technical field of electrical power and cables and particularly relates to a cable capable of displaying whether in a work state. The cable includes an electric conductor and an insulating layer which wraps externally the electric conductor in an extrusion molding manner. The cable is characterized in that the insulating layer includes raw materials of the following content in terms parts by weight: 50-80 parts of a low-density polyethylene, or an intermediate-density polyethylene, or a high-density polyethylene or polypropylene; 5-8 parts of a polyethylene wax; 3-5 parts of a commercially available temperature sensing color-variable powder; 1-2 parts of guanidine carbonate, 0.5-1 part of a commercially available antioxidant used for a cable sheath material, wherein the model of the antioxidant is 1010; and 3-5parts of an industrial 1#, or 2# or 3# white oil. The cable has the following main beneficial effects: the work state of the cable can be displayed clearly and no extra load auxiliary display or instrument is needed so that electrical power is better saved.
