The invention relates to a current switching apparatus for an electric energy meter remote calibration apparatus and a switching method. A single-chip microcomputer control unit communicates with a control computer through an RS485 communication unit, the single-chip microcomputer control unit is connected to current switching cases, the current switching cases are accessed to a bus output unit after being in cascade connection, the single-chip microcomputer control unit and the current switching cases are connected to a power supply unit, and the power supply unit provides power to a working circuit of the single-chip microcomputer control unit and current switching relays of the current switching cases. Each current switching case has multiple current sampling devices inside, a meter to be calibrated is disposed in each current sampling device, three output terminals of each meter to be calibrated is connected to a current transformer, the secondary side of each current transformer is connected to a binding post through a two-contact relay, and all the binding posts are accessed to a standard meter through the bus output unit to form a measuring loop. The current switching apparatus has a plug-and-play function, is convenient to maintain and convenient to use, allows all devices to be operated independently, exhibits high safety, and can achieve automatic switching of signals of multiple electric energy meters.
