The invention discloses a low voltage reactive distributed compensation apparatus. The compensation apparatus comprises multiple reactive compensation boxes that are mounted in a distributed manner; the reactive compensation boxes are provided with capacitors and harmonic protectors; the harmonic protectors automatically cut off the capacitors when harmonic voltage component is less than a set numerical value; and radiating openings for ventilating and radiating and a radiating fan for performing forced heat dissipation are arranged on the reactive compensation box bodies. By adoption of the low voltage reactive distributed compensation apparatus, the problem of (1) low long-term power factor of a common transformer, and the problem (2) that the reactive compensation apparatus of the common transformer is damaged easily are solved.
