The invention discloses a portable digital relay protection tester. The tester comprises a central processing unit, a time comparing unit, a light output/input unit and a cell charging unit. The time comparing unit and a light output/input unit are connected to the central processing unit respectively. The time comparing unit, the light output/input unit and the central processing unit are connected to the cell charging unit. The central processing unit is connected to an Ethernet and a Wifi module. The time comparing unit is used for correcting absolute time of a test apparatus. The light output/input unit is used for converting a test simulation signal into a digital signal. The tester is provided with a wireless interface and a built-in power supply so that usage is convenient. Recorded analysis can be realized and a time characteristic of a process layer can be tested.
