The invention discloses a relay protection fixed value setting method based on a dynamo-electric transient method. The method comprises steps that, (1), data is acquired from a relay protection setting software database, and an electric power network positive sequence, negative sequence and zero sequence algebraic equation is established; (2), in combination with dynamo-electric transient model parameters, a dynamo-electric transient simulation method is utilized to solve the algebraic equation and a non-linear equation which are simultaneous, and dynamic process data of each state variable of the system in a fault process and after fault disappearance is acquired; and (3), a relay protection fixed value is calculated according to the dynamic process information of each state variable acquired in the step (2). Through the method, short circuit calculation accuracy is improved, accuracy of fixed value calculation in a protection fixed value setting work can be improved.
