The embodiment of the invention discloses a double earth wire ice melting system which comprises a front end post tower, a tail end post tower, middle section post towers, double earth wires, an ice melting power supply and a rectifier, wherein the front end post tower, the tail end post tower and the middle section post towers are arranged in a target ice coating zone; the double earth wires are erected on the post tower; the double earth wires positioned at the tail end post tower are in short circuit connection; the ice melting power supply is used for outputting three-phase alternating current; the rectifier is used for rectifying three-phase alternating current outputted by the ice melting power supply into direct current; the positive pole and the negative pole of the output end of the rectifier are respectively connected with the double earth wires positioned at the front end post tower; the target ice coating zone where the middle section post towers are located is the insulation transformation zone. The target ice coating zone is selected to be subjected to insulation transformation, so that insulation transformation on the whole earth wires is avoided, and the ice melting transformation cost is reduced; the access point of the ice melting power supply is not fixed, and the ice melting power supply is switched in according to the selected target ice coating zone, the condition that power is supplied from an initial transformer station is avoided, the flexibility of ice melting power supply switch-in is improved, circuit power cut is not needed in the actual earth wire ice melting process, and the reliability of circuit power supply is improved.
