The invention relates to a running status evaluation method and system of a microgrid group, relating to the field of power system running status evaluation. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a voltage value of an AC bus in the microgrid group, matching the voltage value with a predetermined voltage value in a power quality section, and determining the power quality of the microgrid group; acquiring a value of a predetermined parameter of each sub microgrid in the microgrid group, acquiring a value of a verification index of each sub microgrid according to the value of the predetermined parameter, acquiring a value of a verification index of the microgrid group according to the value of the verification index of each sub microgrid, and determining regulation capability of the microgrid group according to a predetermined regulation capability rule and the value of the verification index of the microgrid group; and matching according to the power quality of the microgrid group, the regulation capability of the microgrid group, a connection status between a power distribution grid and the AC bus and a predetermined running statue rule, and determining the running status of the microgrid group. By the above method, the running status of the microgrid group can be accurately evaluated, and the reliability of coordination control of the microgrid group is improved.
