The invention relates to a plug and a blowout preventer using the same. The plug comprises a plug body and a valve stem screwed to the plug body, the front end of the valve stem is provided with a valve core, the plug body is provided with a valve seat cooperating with the valve core, and the periphery of the plug body is provided with an outer thread used for connecting with a corresponding threaded hole in a blowout preventing sleeve. A plug mounting block and a plug withdrawing block are arranged at the front and the back in an interval on the plug body, the valve stem is provided with a dial driving the plug mounting block and the plug withdrawing block, so that the valve stem can drive the plug body to rotate. The above plug can conveniently adjust flow, so the work efficiency can be raised.
