The invention discloses a method for repairing a fractured transmission shaft. The method comprises the steps that 1, after the transmission shaft (1) is fractured, a center hole (3) is machined in the fracture surface of the fractured end of the transmission shaft (1), a short shaft (2) is installed in the center hole (3), and the center hole (3) is in large interference fit with the short shaft (2); 2, build-up welding is conducted on the outer side of the short shaft, finish machining is conducted after the size of the short shaft is identical with the original size of the transmission shaft (1) through build-up welding, and then a repaired transmission shaft is obtained. By the adoption of the method, the repairing effect is quite good, investment is quite low during repairing, and repairing time is quite short.
