The invention discloses a surface modified selfreparing microcapsule and a preparation method thereof, as well as a selfreparing microcapsule composite material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the selfreparing microcapsule composite material comprises the following steps: (1) preparing prepolymer of a capsule wall from urea and formaldehyde; (2) preparing O/W type emulsion by adopting epoxy resin as a core material; (3) uniformly mixing the prepolymer and the emulsion, and performing condensation polymerization, washing and drying on the mixture to obtain a selfreparing microcapsule; (4) soaking the prepared selfreparing microcapsule in a prepared titanate coupling agent solution, reacting, washing, filtering and drying to obtain a surface modified selfreparing microcapsule; (5) adding the prepared surface modified selfreparing microcapsule in unsaturated polyester composite material, curing and performing aftertreatment to obtain the composite material. The titanate coupling agent is adopted to perform surface modification on the selfreparing microcapsule and is applicable to the unsaturated polyester composite material, so that the interfacial compatibility of the selfreparing microcapsule and the composite material is remarkably improved, and the mechanical properties of the unsaturated polyester composite material are improved.
