The invention discloses a nuclear fuel assembly repair device and method. The nuclear fuel assembly comprises a fuel rod, a skeleton for insertion of the fuel rod, a lower tube base arranged at the lower end of the skeleton and an upper tube base arranged at the upper end of the skeleton. The upper tube base is connected to the skeleton by bolts. The nuclear fuel assembly repair device comprises a fuel basket with a horn-shaped opening, a horn mouth adapter for fixing the nuclear fuel assembly into the fuel basket, a suspender rod for taking and installing the upper tube base and a rod replacement clamp for drawing the fuel rod to be replaced out of the skeleton and inserting the fuel rod to be inserted into the skeleton. The nuclear fuel assembly repair method has the advantages of simple processes, safety, reliability and saving of a lot of a nucleus resource.
