A method for sowing and protecting kidney bean on a dry land at a cold area, aims to effectively improve the ground temperature, extend duration period of the kidney bean and realize significant effect of improving the production, wherein sandy loam or loam with thick soil layer on which legume crops are not planted within 2 to 3 years is selected; in accordance with the quality of kidney bean seeds of 03 to 0.5 percent, carbendazol wettable powder is added to stir with the seeds; a leeward southern land is selected to build a furrow as a ground seedbed; a seed-cultivating paper drum is used to cultivate the seeds; from the period of sowing to sprouting, methods of ventilating, sunshading and adding a cover are applied to a seed-cultivating arched greenhouse for controlling the indoor temperature; the day temperature is within the range of 25 DEG C to 30 DEG C and the the night temperature is not lower than 15 DEG C; within the appropriate sowing period, the seeds are sown on a field land; after the kidney bean on the field land sprouts, the seedlings are checked and thinned; slim and fragile seedlings and seedlings with disease are removed and two strong seedlings are kept in each hole; and the kidney bean seedlings in the paper drum are transplanted to an empty hole.
