本发明实施例提供一种薄膜晶体管及其制造方法，涉及显示技术领域，能够减少源漏极至极性反转区的纵向电阻，从而提高源漏极至极性反转区的电流，提升TFT的性能。其中，TFT的有源层上存在未刻穿的第一凹槽和第二凹槽，TFT的源极和漏极分别至少部分形成于第一凹槽和第二凹槽内，源极和漏极分别通过第一凹槽和第二凹槽与有源层接触。本发明实施例用于TFT的制造。

An embodiment of the invention provides a thin film transistor and a manufacturing method therefor and relates to the technical field of display, aiming at reducing the vertical resistance from source and drain electrodes to a polarity reversing region and improving the performance of the TFT. An active layer of the TFT is provided with a first groove and a second groove which are not cut through; the source and drain electrodes of the TFT are partially formed in the first groove and the second groove at least respectively; and the source and drain electrodes are in contact with the active layer respectively through the first groove and the second groove. The embodiment of the present invention is used for manufacturing the TFT.
