The replacement lens (100) includes a photographic optical system (11) and can mount and dismount a converter lens (300). The control method of the replacement lens includes: a detection step (S11) of detecting whether the converter lens (300) is installed on the replacement lens (100); a change step (S31) of changing identification data used for identifying the replacement lens (100) under the circumstance that installation of the converter lens (300) is detected through the detection step; and a sending step (S33) of sending the changed identification data in the change step to a camera body.
