The invention relates to a determining method for the actual contamination capacity of an oil filter element. The determining method has the advantages of being short in time, high in efficiency and accuracy and capable of being used for determining the actual contamination capacity of the lab oil filter element and estimating the service life of on-site filter elements of a hydraulic system and a lubrication system.
