The present invention discloses an eight-speed powertrain of an automatic transmission for a vehicle. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the powertrain herein comprises: first, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets (PG1,PG2,PG3,PG4), each having a plurality of operational elements; an input shaft (10) to which power of a vehicle engine is inputted, and which is connected to a second planetary carrier (PC2); an output shaft (20) which outputs speed-changed rotational power, and which is connected to a fourth ring gear (R4); a plurality of rotary shafts (TM1,TM2,TM3,TM4,TM5,TM6,TM7) for interconnecting the plurality of operational elements; a plurality of brakes (B1,B2); and a plurality of clutches (CL1,CL2,CL3) for selectively connecting the plurality of rotary shafts.
