The invention provides a direct current power transmission control method suitable for large-scale wind power outward transmission. The method comprises the following steps of: calculating a direct current setting value and a direct voltage setting value; carrying out constant current control on a rectification side, and carrying out constant voltage control on an inversion side; and adjusting reactive power consumed by a direct current system according to the change condition of active power transmitted by the direct current system. By adopting the method, the rotation standby capacity and the frequency modulation set capacity on an alternating current system transmitting end are effectively lowered, and the operation cost of the direct current system is saved; the reactive power curve of the direct current system is adjusted by stages according to the change of the power coefficient, and the switching of a reactive power compensator is utilized in a matched manner, so that a reasonable change range of the power coefficient is ensured, the voltage amplitude of an alternating current bus is maintained in an allowable range, and the switching frequency of the reactive power compensator of the system is reduced.
